THE SINGLE INDICATOR OF DEMOCRACY
When culture is held by a closed circle of monopolists, truth is systematically marginalized, and the various phenomena of life end up becoming incomprehensible. Confusion gradually grows until it becomes devastating. Just like today. For example: to determine the degree of a never-clarified, never-explained "democracy" in a country, experts, professionals, and technicians resort to several dozen indicators. All equally detached from what is, in reality, the essential principle of Democracy. To the point that the method for achieving it cannot be grasped.
Yet all things, even the most complex, when broken down into their elementary simplicity, become easily understandable and manageable, making it much easier to face life. Thus, in contrast to the thousand complex methods used by celebrities to determine the level of "democracy" in a country, we immediately find the indicator capable of numerically determining the percentage of Democracy effectively realized and establishing its quality with the most decisive of definitions.
THIS INDICATOR IS PRECISELY GIVEN BY WHETHER OR NOT A PUBLIC ROLE, DECISION-MAKING OR OPERATIONAL, IS PERIODICALLY RETURNED TO THE PEOPLE TO WHOM IT BELONGS.
In the case of my beloved Italy, assuming the total number of public employees (including both hired staff and elected officials, though only the latter are regularly returned to the country) equals 3,500,000, it is easy to calculate the level of Democracy as a percentage relative to the full value achievable through the return of all public roles to the Sovereign People. In this way, it also becomes possible to pinpoint with absolute precision the areas where Democracy is lacking.
For example, in administrative and judicial fields (as well as in education, information, taxation, public order, military, law enforcement, healthcare, science, statistics, agriculture, ecology, construction, urban planning, landscape management, energy, etc.), there appears to be no trace of Democracy. Because not a single public role, not a single public job, is yet regularly returned to the Italian People. This prevents the necessary participation and renewal of personnel.
So that everyone, in turn, directly experiences what it means to endure, as ordinary citizens, the rules dictated by Parliament and then applied by those employed in the Res Publica.
Instead, both employees and elected officials do everything to focus minds solely on the legislative power (politics) so that no one notices that all other equally important powers are still permanently held by illegitimate careerists. These are archaic tyrannical figures (who keep public matters imprisoned, never returning them to the People, who have long since become their rightful owners) stemming from pre-democratic systems. These individuals are not our employees but genuine public criminals.
They have always violated the law because a commonly owned asset cannot be permanently transferred without a predetermined time limit, thus depriving contemporary citizens with equal rights to enjoy the asset and fulfill professional requirements.

Some time ago, a celebrity stated that the essence of democracy lies solely in the ability to change who governs. Clearly, this was not the whole truth. They should have told us that Democracy consists not only in changing who governs but also in changing, starting with, those who administer, educate, inform, heal, measure us with statistics, collect taxes, control us, judge us, repress us, imprison us, urbanize us, etc., etc., etc. Had this been said, had any celebrity taken this small honest step toward an incontrovertible truth, today the world would be different. Entirely unrecognizable. Not even new wars could have erupted without the persistence of old states owned by a rotten caste of lifelong employees if they had been replaced in time by true Republics: temporarily managed by citizens suitable for the role.
Today, much is said about sovereignty, but as happens when notable figures dominate the discourse, the longer it takes, the more the focus dissolves due to their incompetence. We, who are not titled but, as free humans, want to enjoy sovereignty as guaranteed by the Constitution and Democracy, must assert until it becomes clear that sovereignty (an ancient concept aligned with modern ownership) applies to everything public: everything that pertains to and belongs to the community. To the Italian People. This includes material and immaterial goods, properties, resources, institutions, decision-making and operational bodies, their powers, and resources.
Rephrasing, we can say that sovereignty relates to all public aspects of a country: the Res Publica, or Republic in Italian. Democracy is precisely the sharing and participation in the goods and resources over which the People hold Sovereignty, meaning ownership. Let us deeply understand and develop these concepts ourselves as simple human beings endowed with understanding and sensitivity. Let us speak out. Let us finally silence that caste of teachers, lecturers, professors, and ignoble domestics whose sole purpose for three-quarters of a century has been to keep us away from the truth. Away from Democracy. Enough with being indoctrinated by them: now it is our turn to teach them all a lesson!
Enough with their permanent positions, eternal places of career and power. Enough with excluding us from our own Republic. Not only in Italy but also in the Res Publica of the European Union. The EU will heal only when its citizens can take care of their own affairs.
Hence: permanently oust all medieval bureaucratic careerists who rob us of the Public Good, our sacred national co-ownership. Immediately free every job/power in the public sector by simply enforcing the Law (even if only the generic co-ownership law). Out with them, and strictly temporary positions for competent, qualified, and prepared citizens. Let them succeed each other fraternally through the Public Jobs Bank Institute.
